The next meeting will be Nov. 4 with hostesses Betsey Ryan and Rheba Michaud. Minnie McCormick announced the program will be history and then we will make cards for the veterans.  She also reported that she had sent news of the last meeting. She also noted that she had made and delivered book bags for kids at the library to carry their books in. She also sent six to the Appleton Library where her great-grandchildren go.

Kiwanis Christmas for children was discussed with some members receiving their own notifications. Members will bring their contributions to the next meeting and will then decide how many children we can provide for. This is an annual event!.

The club also does  things for veterans. This year blankets were collected and will be given  when members go to Bangor to assist with the Thanksgiving donations. Ducat and others members will also go to assist. We are very proud of our veterans and do what we can to assist them.

Leighton’s husband David, accompanied by grandson Caleb, was able to go on the Honor Flight to Washington, D.C. They had a wonderful time and were well taken care of according to Leighton.
