Northern Light Health Center, Sangerville to hold fall Produce Pop-Up Market

SANGERVILLE — The Northern Light Health Center in Sangerville is hosting Northern Light Mayo and CA Dean Hospitals’ final Produce Pop-Up Market of the season on Wednesday, Oct. 15. The Health Center, located at 22 Haley Court, invites the community to stop by between 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. for fruits and vegetables at no cost.

Produce available at the market will include fresh vegetables from local and regional farms.

While individuals experiencing food insecurity are encouraged to attend, the market is open to all. Attendees are asked to bring reusable bags to put their produce in, if available.

Northern Light Mayo and CA Dean Hospitals have hosted produce markets this summer and fall in Dover-Foxcroft, Milo and Greenville. The markets are a collaboration of Mayo Hospital, the University of Maine Cooperative Extension in Piscataquis County and Highland Area Gleaners. Food for the pop-up produce market is provided by the Piscataquis Regional Food Center.
