Camden Shakespeare Festival returns to Monson

MONSON — Camden Shakespeare Festival, Monson Arts and the Center Theatre will present Shakespeare’s “The Two Gentlemen of Verona” outdoors in Monson on Saturday, July 26 at 2 p.m. (rain date is Sunday, July 27 at 2 p.m.).

SHAKESPEARE — Camden Shakespeare Festival returns to Monson to perform “The Two Gentlemen of Verona” at Tenney House, 47 Tenney Hill Road at 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 26. The rain date is Sunday, July 27 at 2 p.m. More information and advance tickets at CenterTheatre.org.

“The Two Gentlemen of Verona” is a hilarious comedy about two best friends, love found, love lost and love found again. It features mistaken identity, outlaws, a dog named crab and a delightfully happy ending. 

“This is a unique opportunity to see this rarely-performed comic gem of a play. We promise a fun time for all,” says Director Stephen Legawiec. 

Attendees should plan to bring blankets or camp chairs to enjoy the play which will be presented outdoors behind Tenney House, 47 Tenney Hill Road. Tickets are only $14 for the public and $8 for kids 14 and under and $12 for members of the Center Theatre.
