Four locals run in Walter Hunt 3K

Four area residents took part in the 44th annual Walter Hunt Memorial 3K mid-morning on the Fourth of July, running from Brewer to Bangor.

Robert McCloskey, 60 of Dover-Foxcroft, came in 112th among 451 finishers with a time of 14 minutes, 21 seconds. Eion McCloskey, 20 of Dover-Foxcroft, was 180th in 15:51. Placing 280th was David Wheaton Sr. of Guilford in 18:28.

Janice Rockwell, 82 of Milo, came in 420th in 28:24. Rockwell was the top finisher in the female 80-89 age group.
