Municipal/student basketball game

GUILFORD — The Piscataquis Community Secondary School Class of 2013 cordially invites you to a basketball showdown between current student-athletes and representatives from local municipal and law enforcement agencies at 7 p.m. on Friday, March 22 in the PCSS gym. Will youthful exuberance rule the court or will experience win the day? Entry is by donation. There will also be baked goodies on sale in the lobby.

The Class of 2013 is working hard to raise the funds needed for their class trip to Boston in June immediately after graduation. A bottle drive is planned for Saturday, March 16. Students will collect bottles at your home, or you may drop them at the PCSS bus garage, where students will be sorting and counting bottles from 8:30 a.m. to noon. If the date is not convenient, bottles to benefit the class may also be dropped off anytime at the collection bin in the parking lot of the Forget Me Not flower shop next to Rite Aid in Guilford. Also, White’s Redemption Center on Crow Hill Road in Parkman and Route 23 Redemption in Sangerville will credit bottles to the students’ account if customers ask them to do so.
There is also an ongoing Tastefully Simple sale available online to benefit the students. To order, visit www.tastefullysimple.com, select “Shop our Products,” then “Host/Event Search.” Enter PCHS as the “first name” and Graduation as the “second name” to find the catalog party being run by consultant Kary Lyman of Monson.
Students are very grateful for the support shown by the community this year. For information about Project Graduation fundraisers to benefit the PCSS Class of 2013, call Carrie Fellows at 717-5271.
