GFWC Miosac Club celebrates 89th birthday

BOWERBANK — Eleven members of GFWC Miosac Club gathered at Bear Point Marina May 20 to observe our 89th birthday. President Laurie Ducat and Kathy Ryder were hostesses.

The tables were beautifully decorated, and members socialized until time to eat. Anne Cress offered grace. She also announced that dues will increase to $35 next year. Operating expenses have increased, as has everything else. Members sang “Happy Birthday” before partaking of our meal. 

Ducat had three plants and people who chose the correct number won them. 

This is our last meeting of the year. We will have a yard sale in July. No date set as of yet.

We are hoping to gain new members for the 2025-26. Plans are being made to have a social time in the fall to interest other women in joining, Anyone interested may call any Miosac member including at 207-717-7576, 207-564-2663, 207-564-2660 and 207-447-0285.
