Guilford students will raise voices and lift spirits

GUILFORD — Piscataquis Community Elementary School students will demonstrate their skills as classes, groups and individuals using their voices and instruments to perform traditional folk songs, sea shanties, ukulele, chorus and band.

The spring concert will be held on Monday, May 19 starting at 5:30 p.m. in the secondary school gymnasium on Campus Drive. Students will be performing songs that they have been working hard to learn. They take great pride in their accomplishments and enjoy the support of parents and friends.

This concert represents an annual community tradition during which the community enjoys the students’ accomplishments. As they raise their voices and instruments, they genuinely lift the spirits of those who attend. Attendance is free at these concerts under the direction of Evan Viera, PCES music teacher.
