Man dies at Maine prison

CHARLESTON — A Hancock man died at Mountain View Correctional Facility in Charleston on Friday night, Feb. 21.
Roland Dennis Jalbert, 69, died about 11:27 p.m., the Maine Department of Corrections said Sunday night.
Further details about his death weren’t released.
The Maine attorney general’s office and medical examiner’s office have been notified of Jalbert’s death, as is standard procedure.
Jalbert was convicted in September 2021 of burglary and theft, and was eligible for release in May.
