East Sangerville Grange welcomes back The Press Gang

    EAST SANGERVILLE — It has been four years since the Portland-based Press Gang last played at the East Sangerville Grange Coffee House and they are returning to perform again none too soon.

    The group’s upcoming show on Saturday, March 7 is sure to be lively, with just the kind of “oomph” everyone needs during the last few weeks of winter.
    The Press Gang is a high-energy trio that delivers traditional tunes from Ireland, Quebec, Appalachia, Scotland and New England with real zest – and a fair bit of humor. The group is known for its “musical sense of adventure” and for shows that are always spontaneous and fresh.
    Since their first appearance at ESG in 2011, The Press Gang released its second CD and has expanded its tour circuit to include prominent venues in Massachusetts, New York, and Vermont.
    Tickets for the March 7 show will be available at the door or two weeks in advance at Bob’s Home and Garden in Dover-Foxcroft.
