Bank promotes Sirois

    CAMDEN — Gregory A. Dufour, president and chief executive officer of Camden National Bank, has announced that Gregory Sirois has been named senior vice president and retail regional manager for Bangor/North.

    Sirois is based in the Exchange Street, Bangor branch and is responsible for retail branch operations, sales management and business development for three Bangor locations, and branches in Brewer, Corinth, Dover-Foxcroft, Greenville, Hampden, Hermon, Milo, Newport, Old Town and Orono. He reports to June Parent, executive vice president and senior retail banking officer for Camden National Bank.
    “It’s always been my desire to serve the communities in which I live, whether it’s participating on boards or partnering with non-profit organizations, or in my job as a community banker,” said Sirois. “Working at Camden National Bank has enabled me to do just that and my hope is that I’ve been able to make a difference.”
    Sirois, a 1980 Caribou High School graduate, began his career with Camden National Bank in 2009 as vice president, mid-coast retail regional manager. He has 23 years of banking and management experience, having worked at Fleet Bank, MBNA and Bank of America prior to joining Camden National.
    “Greg is a great manager and coach for our retail team and is passionate about his desire to serve our customers,” said Dufour. “His leadership was put to the test this past year as he was one of the key members of the team that oversaw the acquisition and conversion of branches we acquired in October 2012, seven of which are now part of his territory.”
    Sirois holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Maine in business administration with a concentration in accounting and economics. He is member of the board and treasurer of the Maine Discovery Museum in Bangor and vice president of the board of Harbor Family Services, which serves the mid-coast. He lives in Hampden with his wife and three sons.
