Love … not just for Valentine’s Day anymore
By Ann Marshall
What’s the first thing you think of when you hear Valentine’s Day? Candy, flowers, romance . . . love? Have you ever stopped to think about where the love came from in the first place? After all, no one can buy love in a store (or even online). Genuine love comes from God – because God is love.
How do I know? I know by the way God has worked his love into the seemingly ordinary days of my own life, as well as into the extraordinary days of life – when there was rebellion, struggles, pain and suffering.
Would you like to hear some of my stories? I have written a book called “My Journey with God” in which I share — in an honest and transparent way — some of the true life experiences I’ve gone through in my journey in getting to know God in a personal relationship with him. This book offers a behind-the-scenes look at what it’s really like to be a Christian in this day and age — both the good aspects of it as well as the more challenging aspects. It offers hope and encouragement to those who are searching for true meaning and purpose for their lives. It gives reflections and insights to those just beginning their own journey with God, as well as providing inspiration and motivation to those who have been Christians for years.
Most of all, this book reveals how God has faithfully and consistently communicated his love to me – throughout different seasons of my life – showing it’s not just for “Valentine’s Day” but for every day. “My Journey with God” is a book for everyone to be inspired by to discover God’s love for themselves in a personal way.
