Song and dance inspired by Mother Earth

SANGERVILLE — Join the Unitarian Universalist Church of Sangerville & Dover-Foxcroft on Church Street on Sunday, Sept. 29 at 2 p.m. for song and dance inspired by Mother Earth. Admission is by donation and will help fund the work of the church.

Hear singing duo Timbered Lake playing Diana Newman’s original music as Newman, on guitar, is joined by her husband Tom’s blended percussion and vocals. At the age of 83, Roger Simmons has been on stage since he was 5. For years he was known as “Cowboy” for his country music radio show. To his 60 years of guitar playing, he has added 20 years on the Native American flute, and will be playing his own compositions on a flute he crafted himself.

The Northern Lights Drummers consist of mother Melinda Vielleux and her two daughters Margaret and Copper. They have performed at numerous pow wows and added their drumming and singing at the Moon Dance. It’s music that will fill your heart. Finally, you will be invited to dance and move your feet to the beat of Autumn Owl Holt’s drum.
