Miss Maple Trio crowned at 137th Piscataquis Valley Fair

DOVER-FOXCROFT — Three girls will reign as Miss Maple in three respective age groups for the next year after being crowned during the ninth annual Miss Maple Pageant on Saturday morning, Aug. 24 at the 137th Piscataquis Valley Fair.

Addalyn Sivret, a 4-year-old who is about to start kindergarten, earned top honors in the youngest “Mini Miss Maple” division for entrants in kindergarten to grade four.

Davyn Levensalor, 12, and a seventh-grader at Belmont Middle School in New Hampshire, was the winner in the “Little Miss Maple” class for entrants in the middle age group.

Finishing first among the older girls to receive the title of “Miss Maple” was Kaycie Bishop, 15, a Foxcroft Academy sophomore.

Ellie McDunnah, 5, a kindergartener at the Dr. Lewis S. Libby School in Milford, was the Mini Miss Maple runner-up. Kinsley Weymouth, 11, a sixth-grader at SeDoMoCha Middle School placed second among Little Miss Maple contestants. Kaydance Flint, 14, a ninth-grader at Piscataquis Community High School, is the Miss Maple runner-up.

Other pageant contestants were Charlotte Comtois, 8, a homeschooled third-grader; Stella Foley, 8, a third-grader; Evita Aviles, 8, a third-grader; and Autumn Rideout, 13, an eighth-grader at SeDoMoCha Middle School.

The trio of Miss Maple age group winners each were presented with a crown and a sash. Bishop earned a $200 college scholarship as Miss Maple.

MISS MAPLE PAGEANT CONTESTANTS — Ten girls took part in the 2024 Miss Maple Pageant on Saturday morning at the 137th annual Piscataquis Valley Fair in Dover-Foxcroft. The contestants competed in three different age groups, being introduced to the audience in country wear, demonstrating a talent, and finishing the pageant in their formal attire.

The 2024 edition of the Miss Maple Pageant featured 10 girls taking part, who were first introduced to the audience gathered by the Bear’s Den Maine Stage dressed in their country wear.

Next up was the talent portion as the girls’ skills included songs from six contestants along with dancing, basketball skills, tap dance, and telling dad jokes.

The 10 finished the pageant in their formal wear as the audience learned what each girls’ favorite colors, hobbits, and future professions are.

The 2024 Miss Maple Pageant was sponsored by Bob’s Sugar House, Bear’s Den Motel, Restaurant & Tavern, Guilford Service Center, and Pixels 2 Print.
