Pilates classes at Central Hall Commons
DOVER-FOXCROFT — Tuesday and Thursday Mat Pilates with Julie Mason, beginning on Tuesday, April 16. One-hour classes will be held on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 8-9 a.m. and Tuesday nights from 7-8 p.m. These mat classes will move your spine in every direction it’s meant to as well as work the deep muscles of your back, core, glutes, and hamstrings to leave you feeling energized and strong with better posture. All levels are welcome, $10/class.
Yoga/meditation, beginning on Thursday, April 18: One-hour classes will be held Thursday evenings from 6-7 p.m. by donation. This class will focus on stretching and practicing a few standing poses while linking the breath with movement. We will also have a few minutes for meditation at the end of class. All levels are welcome!
Mason is a Master Pilates instructor for over 20 years, she was certified through the Physical Mind Institute. Mason is also a vinyasa flow yoga instructor, she was certified at Harmony Yoga and has been teaching for 12 years. She grew up at the beach in California and has two grown daughters and a grandson. Her love of physical movement led her to a career that she is passionate about. She tends to focus on alignment and making people understand their bodies as well as inspiring her students to get connected through a mind/body approach. She also enjoys dancing, being in nature, meditation, music and spending time with her family and friends.
