College, financial aid information session set for Dec. 2

DOVER-FOXCROFT — This year’s regional financial aid and college information session will be held at the Center Theatre on Tuesday, Dec. 2 from 5:30-8 p.m.

All families of college-bound seniors are strongly encouraged to attend the event, which is open to the general public and will feature representatives from University of Maine, University of Maine at Augusta, Eastern Maine Community College, Husson University and the Finance Authority of Maine (FAME). Students from other grades are also welcome to come and learn about the process as they begin to prepare for the future.

The event will move into the theatre at 6:30, where college reps will lead a question-and-answer session for 30 minutes. From 6:30-8, Mary Dyer of FAME will discuss the ins and outs of the financial aid and application process. Prizes will be awarded at the end of the evening (sports passes, gas cards, restaurant certificates, etc.).
The event is hosted by Foxcroft Academy, Piscataquis Community High School, Penquis Valley High School, Dexter Regional High School Tri-County Technical Center and FAME. Contact Foxcroft Academy counselor Kandi Martin at 564-8893 or kandi.martin@staff.foxcroftacademy.org with any questions.
