Joyce C. Bailey

BAILEY, Joyce C., 95, Milo, at Dover-Foxcroft, November 7, 2014. A graveside memorial service will be conducted 11 a.m., November 17, 2014, at the family lot in Evergreen Cemetery, Milo. Arrangements are in the care of the Lary Funeral Home, Dover-Foxcroft.

Joyce C. Bailey

    MILO – Joyce C. Bailey, 95, wife of the late Charles H. Bailey, passed away November 7, 2014, at Hibbard Nursing Home, Dover-Foxcroft. She was born Sept. 3, 1919, in Lake View, the daughter of Fred and Aldie (Canney) Comeau.
    Joyce was a member of the Park Street United Methodist Church, the Ayuda Club, and she had served as a director for the Milo Farmers Union. She was one of the first female letter carriers for the U.S. Postal Service, working in the Milo area. For many years, she had also enjoyed spending her winters in Florida.
    She is survived by a son, Terry Bailey and his wife, Marilyn, of Milo; a sister, Nancy Doucette and her husband, Percy, of Farmington; two grandchildren, Brent Bailey and his wife, Anne, of Brownville, and Eric Bailey and his wife, Wendy, of Medford; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter. She also leaves several nieces and nephews including a special niece, Renee, and special nephew, Jimbo. She was predeceased by two brothers, Cyril and James Comeau.
    A graveside memorial service will be conducted 11 a.m., Monday, Nov. 17, 2014, at the family lot in Evergreen Cemetery, Milo, with Rev. Michele St. Cyr officiating. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Park Street United Methodist Church, PO Box 116, Milo 04463. Arrangements are in the care of the Lary Funeral Home.
