SCARING UP SOME CREATIVITY

Earning first-place honors in the scarecrow contest at the Sebec Village Apple Festival on Oct. 18 was the brother and sister team of Xavier and Madyson Warren of Atkinson, pictured outside the Reading Room.

Second place went to another brother and sister team, Dominick and Victoria Scuderi of Sebec, and placing third was Angela Storenof Sebec. The winners were awarded $10, $5 was the prize for second and $2 was awarded to third place. The contest had eight scarecrows entered and the judges had some tough choices to select the top three.
