D-F Kiwanis names new officers
DOVER-FOXCROFT — Over 50 people attended the Dover-Foxcroft Kiwanis Club’s annual dinner held at the Bear’s Den Restaurant Sept. 30. The Kiwanis Club installed its new officers and directors and presented several awards to its members.
The new officers are as follows: Dennis Lyford, president; Deb Somers, first vice president; Will Wedge, second vice president; Barbara Moore, treasurer; Pat Ryan, secretary; Grace Hague, assistant secretary and treasurer; and Past President Bob Moore.
Incoming members of the Board of Directors are as follows: Tim Hague, Tom Gerrish, Joe Guyotte, Marilyn Hartford, Brian Woodworth, Doc Sherman and Woody Woodworth.
Barbara Moore was presented with the Hixson Medal, an award from the Kiwanis International for her service to Dover-Foxcroft Kiwanis, Gerrish and Cindy Woodworth were presented with Red Jackets by the club. Gerrish was selected for his many years of service and Woodworth because of her work on developing the club web site.
Lyford thanked the club for selecting him as its president and promised to promote membership growth and to expand the school backpack programs in Dover-Foxcroft and Guilford.
