Senior Network meets Mondays and Thursdays

DOVER-FOXCROFT — Senior Network is back in full swing – still meeting on Mondays and Thursdays at the Community Room at the Morton Avenue Municipal Building. All seniors are welcomed to join the crowd, with coffee and visiting starting at 10:30 a.m. followed by lunch at 11:30.
On Mondays, Senior Network enjoys the Community Café provided by Eastern Area Agency on Aging.  This meal is available for a suggested donation of $4; SNAP benefits can be used for this meal also.  Reservations are recommended and can be made by calling 943-2488.  There is always extra so come along even if you didn’t reserve your meal.

On Thursdays, Senior Network enjoys a traditional old Maine potluck luncheon – everyone brings something and shares. If you aren’t a cook, grab a can of fruit or pickles or package of rolls and come along. All donations to the luncheon are welcomed.
Following luncheon, Senior Network gets out the games and jigsaw puzzles. It is a great time for socializing, trying your hand at a new game and getting to know new friends or reacquainting yourself with old friends. We also have shuffleboard, iPads (instruction as well) and plenty of coffee and tea to go along.
The October Senior Network program schedule includes: Oct. 16 Dover-Foxcroft Town Manager Jack Clukey will provide a 2014 election overview, to review the ballot with participants and answer questions about the various referendums.
Oct. 30 Jim Annis will visit Senior Network and provide an update about the County Commissioners.
So please plan to join us at Senior Network. Please drive around to the back of the building and you will see our handicapped accessible entrance. All are welcome. Any questions, please call Sue at 564-8245.
