Support for grieving adults at Pine Tree Hospice

DOVER-FOXCROFT — Pine Tree Hospice is pleased to offer two programs for adults  experiencing grief and loss. Grief is a natural response to loss: shock, sadness, anger, hurt, loneliness and fear are outward expressions of grief. Through group and individual support, those who are grieving can begin the process of healing, find ways to cope with their loss, and provide strength and support to one another.

The Lunch ‘n Learn series continues on Oct. 14 with a focus on staying active and what it means to health. “Coping With Grief Through the Holidays” is the topic for the event on Nov. 11. To help cope with the cold weather, “Grief in the Wintertime” is the topic for Dec. 9. All adults who have experienced a death of somebody important to them are welcome to join Pine Tree Hospice at the Dover-Foxcroft Congregational Church. The events run from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and are free of charge. For more information, call 564-4346.
Pine Tree Hospice will offer an adult support group for those who are grieving the loss of a loved one. The group will meet the second Tuesday of each month, beginning Oct. 14 at 7 p.m. at the Pine Tree Hospice office at 883 West Main Street. This group is open to any adult in the community who has lost a loved one, whether recently or in the past.
