October Grange events

    Friday, Oct. 24 Valley Grange Bookworms visit PCES at 10:15 a.m. for a brief assembly with second- and third-graders to kick-off the annual Bookworm Program. For more information about Valley Grange’s Bookworm Program call Boomsma at 343-1842 or visit www.ValleyGrange.com.

    Monday, October 27 Valley Grange conducts the second Dictionary Day. SeDoMoCha Elementary third-graders will arrive at the Grange Hall at 9 a.m. for a historical and informational presentation featuring Capt. Jack Battick, a Civil War navy captain and Miss Mary from the same era. In addition to some information about agriculture and the Grange every student will receive his or her own personal dictionary.

    Tuesday, Oct. 28, marks the first day of the Valley Grange Bookworm Program at PCES. Grangers will be visiting the school every Tuesday and Thursday to listen to second- and third-graders read books of their own choice.
