Canceled — Songwriters in the Round at Central Hall Commons

Songwriters in the Round concert at the Central Hall Commons has been canceled due to the extreme cold

DOVER-FOXCROFT — On Friday, Feb. 3 at 5 p.m. Will Mallett, Sydney Stutzman, and Troy Youngblood, three local songwriters, will be taking turns playing their original songs and sometimes telling stories about what inspired them. This special evening will take place at the Central Hall Commons, 152 East Main Street, and is hosted by the Maine Highlands Council for the Arts.

Mallett is one of the members of the Mallett Brothers Band, and son of Maine music legend David Mallett. Stuzman owns Stutzman’s Farm and leads the Doughty Hill Band. Youngblood moved to Maine from Florida six years ago and plays in a trio called Smoke & Mojo as well as a band called BookHead SweetTooth. Youngblood also spent a little bit of time in and out of New Orleans (“where I definitely picked up influences for my music”).

He says, “The world is made more beautiful by the songs of the singer-songwriters. Come on out for an evening of original acoustic music and storytelling.”

These three local legends in the music scene will give a great night of music. Admission is by donation, and can be paid at the door or at this link https://www.eventbrite.com/e/songwriters-in-the-round-will-mallett-sydney-stutzman-troy-yougblood-tickets-517300679257?fbclid=IwAR06xUOz56zCU366j3UQssdqE1R5DXFkePO042I6TXiMY46e_gDZCAGM9X0.

Refreshments will be served. John Ritano of Two Knights Brewing Company of Sangerville will have craft beers for sale.
