Theatre to present holiday musical

DOVER-FOXCROFT — The holiday show “Kris Kringle The Musical” will open at 7 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 9 at the Center Theatre. Direct from New York City’s theater district comes this all-new, original holiday musical comedy. “Kris Kringle The Musical” made its New York City debut in November,2017 at The Town Hall and featured an all-star Broadway cast. It is a timeless story of hope, forgiveness and finding a family in the most unlikely of places. This magical holiday musical will resonate with audiences of all ages.

The Slightly Off-Center Players community theater group production will run for two weekends from Dec. 9 through Dec. 17, just in time to get people in the holiday spirit.

“We’ve traditionally done a holiday show in December,” said Patrick Myers, the Center Theatre’s executive director. “It’s a time when families enjoy coming out together to share a fun holiday experience. Our cast of local actors has been working hard since October and we’re all looking forward to seeing it come to life.”

“We’re always thrilled to bring school kids into the Center Theatre to see live shows. We’re grateful for the support of RSU 68 and a Ticket to Ride grant from the Maine Arts Commission for making it possible.”

Myers said that the theater was also grateful for the support of other production sponsors who made the show possible, including Northern Light Mayo Hospital, The Mill Cafe, and Breault Construction.
