Committee awards three grants

    The Piscataquis County Committee of the Maine Community Foundation recently awarded $20,850 in grants to area nonprofits, including the Center Theatre to purchase technology upgrades to host technology-based workshops, presentations, and seminars for the community.

    Other grant recipients include the Forest Society of Maine, to develop a new strategic plan for the next five to 10 years, and Pine Tree Hospice to hire a coordinator of volunteers and client services.
