Beach to Beacon results

    CAPE ELIZABETH — Over a half dozen runners from the region took part in the state’s largest annual road race, the 17th running of the TD Beach to Beacon 10K on Aug. 2.

    Finishing the highest among the seven was Justin Morrill, 26 of Brownville. Morrill covered the 6.2 miles in a net time of 42 minutes, 53 seconds to finish 471st out of a field of 6,490.
    Also taking part in the Beach to Beacon was Heather Gudroe, 36 of Dexter, 1,797th at 51:00; Tim Leland, 46 of Sangerville, 2,054th at 52:14; Danielle Vafiades, 31 of Dexter, 2,544th at 54:19; Tracy Glidden, 48 of Dexter, 3,635th at 58:38; Marcy King, 41 of Dexter, 3,946th at 59:59; and Darcie Sands, 36 of Dover-Foxcroft, 4,379th at 1:02.03.
