Scott Howard Wentworth

PO-ScottWentworthOB    BROWNVILLE JCT. – Scott Howard Wentworth, 57, passed away July 25, 2014, at his home with his family by his side after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born March 5, 1957, in Exeter, NH, to Forest Wentworth and Marcia (Chesley) Wentworth.
He was an exceptional carpenter and was well known for his unmatched skill and knowledge of woodworking. He spent over a decade working for longtime friend, Fred Wiles of Fred Wiles Builders and especially enjoyed his days building homes on beautiful Schoodic Lake. He loved to spend sunny days in the back yard with his family, fireworks, and watching the race on Sundays. Scott was a lifelong Red Sox fan and never gave up trying to convert his three children over from “Those Damn Yankees”.
Scott is survived by his devoted wife, Ginger (Devine) Wentworth; his daughters, Heather Wentworth and Shannon (Wentworth) Sickler; and his son, Cody Wentworth. He loved and cherished his three grandchildren, Damion Pearl, Carigon Pearl, and Aiden Sickler. He is also mourned by his father, Forest Wentworth; his four sisters, Cindy Purchas and husband, John, Julie Young and husband, David, Tracey Sylvester and husband, John, and Tricia Wentworth; his brother, Kevin Wentworth; many nieces and nephews; family and friends; and was sadly predeceased by his mother, Marcia Wentworth.
Per his wishes, there will be no viewing or funeral. Instead, there will be a Celebration of Life at the Kiwanis Building in Milo on Saturday, August 2, 2014, from 4 to 6 p.m., a time for family and friends to gather and remember what a remarkable man Scott was.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to CHCS Home Health and Hospice Services, 1093 W. Main St., Dover-Foxcroft, ME 04426. Arrangements are in the care of the Lary Funeral Home, Milo. Condolences may be expressed at www.laryfuneralhome.com.
