Dover Rovers ATV Club charity ride Aug. 14
DOVER-FOXCROFT — The Dover Rovers ATV Club is hosting a charity ride for Adoptive & Foster Families of Maine, Inc. & The Kinship Program on Saturday, Aug. 14. Meet at 8:30 a.m. and the ride leaves at 9 a.m. from the A.E. Robinson Convenience Store on West Main Street. Parking is permitted both at the store as well as the A.E. Robinson Oil Company across the street. Please don’t block the front of the A.E. Robinson buildings.
We will be riding from Dover-Foxcroft to the landing in Greenville, getting into Greenville around noon. Once in Greenville, we can disperse for a few hours where everyone can go find some lunch. All the roads in Greenville are ATV-accessible with many restaurants open for business. You obviously may choose to pack a lunch. If you like to swim and/or the weather is warm there is a beach at the landing where you can enjoy a quick dip to cool off before heading back.
We will all meet back up at 2 p.m. at the landing and head back at 2:30 p.m.to ride back to Dover-Foxcroft. Estimated time back is around 5:30 p.m.
We are asking everyone that joins us to bring some school supplies to support AFFM’s backpack program to help support children in care get ready for school. Listed are a few items needed: backpacks, notebooks, pens, pencils, pencil boxes, colored pencils, crayons, scissors, binders and highlighters.
Also needed are socks and underwear for both boys and girls of all ages if you are able to help here that would be great too.
