Kings buy Millside Fitness in Dexter

DEXTER — Millside Fitness has been sold to longtime Dexter residents Trampas and Marcy King and will remain in the current space on the second floor of 26 Main Street in Dexter.
The Kings said they are confident that this acquisition will improve member satisfaction and increase membership sales. It is their desire to make improvements to the facility as revenue permits, seek member feedback for such improvements and insure Millside Fitness is a safe and comfortable environment for all of its members.

Millside Fitness was started in 2001 and is a fully-equipped fitness center that offers 24/7 access to its members.
Trampas and Marcy King have participated in many physical endurance challenges including Tough Mudder and numerous road races of varying distances. Millside Fitness has supported their training for many of these events and it is their desire to own and operate this facility for other like-minded individuals or any person seeking to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
Although this acquisition is new, Marcy King has been involved with Millside Fitness since 2002 when she began teaching aerobics classes at the fitness center. Later, she took on the management of the facility prior to stepping down in February 2013.
Trampas King, the manager of the Mid-Maine Solid Waste Association transfer station and recycling center, also supported Millside Fitness as maintenance and repair person for several years.
Millside Fitness will hold an open house on Saturday, Feb. 1 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. offering light refreshments, health screenings, prizes, discounts and a drawing for a free, one-year membership.
For more information contact Marcy King at 924-7360.
