Epic Sports Finale 5K results

    BANGOR — Seven runners from the region concluded the 2013 race season by taking part in the eighth annual Epic Sports Finale 5K on Dec. 29.

    The first of the seven to cross the finish line was Chris Almy, 64 of Charleston. Almy covered the 3.1 miles in 23 minutes, 3 seconds to finish 31st out of a field of 105.
    The other half dozen were Gary Larson, 68 of Dover-Foxcroft, 39th at 24:39; Peter Devine, 64 of Garland, 42nd at 24:57; Gayle Peirce, 54 of Exeter, 71st at 28:39; Lori Sharrow, 47 of Dover-Foxcroft, 75th at 28:46; Maryann Walsh, 47 of Sebec, 76th at 28:48; and Judy Snow, 59 of Dover-Foxcroft, 80th at 30:17.
    Winning the Epic Sports Finale 5K was Adam Goode, 30 of Bangor, in 15:45. The women’s winner was Kristine Guaraldo, 37, of Brewer, who was 14th overall in 21:00.
