Foxcroft, PCHS indoor track conclude the regular season
ORONO — Foxcroft Academy and Piscataquis Community High School had final tuneups before next weekend’s conference championship competition during the final Eastern Maine Indoor Track League/Penobscot Valley Conference meet Feb. 1 at the University of Maine.
The Foxcroft boys scored 18 points to finish seventh among nine teams.
Junior Logan Martin placed third in the 55-meter finals with a time of 7.02 seconds. He also came in fourth in the long jump at a distance of 17 feet, 9.25 inches.
Pony sophomore Jacob Reed was third in the high jump, clearing the bar at 5-06.
Foxcroft’s 4×200 relay team came in fifth as seniors Hunter Clarke and Cole Edgerly, junior Izaak Krause and sophomore Jasper Makowski combined for a time of 1:49.16
PCHS junior Ty Massie had a fifth-place performance in the long jump at 17-09. Massie scored both his team’s points as the Pirates placed ninth.
In the girls’ meet, PCHS had seven points to finish seventh among nine schools.
Pirate freshman Molly Sipple finished third in the 55-meter finals with a time of 8.12 seconds.
Sipple also was sixth in the 800 at 2:52.88.
