String Field Theory kicks off New Year at East Sangerville Grange

EAST SANGERVILLE — On Saturday, Jan. 4 the East Sangerville Grange welcomes String Field Theory to their stage at the first Coffee House concert OF 2014.

String Field Theory is made up of Sid Stutzman, Craig Stutzman, Dawn Potter, and Brian Smith — veteran local musicians who came together to form this exciting new band.  They perform original music as well as versions of some of the best covers ever written. Their diverse tastes and backgrounds blend into a seamless mix of Americana, bluegrass, folk, rock, blues and country.
Opening for String Field Theory will be J.T. Curran, a Grange favorite whose musical résumé started in the 50’s and 60’s. He’s performed for most of his life and brings his considerable talents to the stage for a historical journey through the music of our times sprinkled with a few originals.
Admission to the Coffeehouse Concerts is $10 in advance and $12 the night of the show. The concert starts at 7 p.m. and doors open at 5:30 p.m. The Grange’s delicious desserts and strong coffee will be available to tempt attendees.
Tickets are available at Bob’s Farm Home and Garden in Dover-Foxcroft two weeks prior to each show.
