Cody receives NEWMAC all-academic honors

sp-codymug-dcX-po-51    WORCESTER, Mass. — Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) sophomore Rachel Cody, a resident of Dover-Foxcroft and graduate of Foxcroft Academy, earned New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) All-Academic status as a member of the WPI field hockey team in the fall.

    Honorees — Cody was joined by five teammates on the list — must have met the following criteria: earned a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale or 4.35 on a 5.0 scale after the 2013 spring semester, achieved second-year academic status at their institution and been a member of the varsity team for the entire season.
    Cody, a back, started all 17 games for WPI.
    The team finished the 2013 season with an overall record of 6-11, going 1-7 in NEWMAC play.
