Guilford students will raise voices and lift spirits
GUILFORD — Piscataquis Community School students will be demonstrating their skills as classes, groups and individuals using their voices, instruments and movement on two separate nights during the holiday season.
The elementary school concert includes grades kindergarten through four performing on Tuesday, Dec. 3 starting at 5:30 p.m. in the Piscataquis Community High School gymnasium on Campus Drive. Students will be performing winter and holiday songs that they have been working hard to learn. The concert will also include songs about winter and the holiday season. Students take great pride in their accomplishments and enjoy the support of parents and friends.
The middle school concert will be held on Monday, Dec. 9 starting at 5:30 p.m. in the Piscataquis Community Elementary School gymnasium and will feature the band and chorus and the grade 5-6 classes. Students will be singing, playing ukuleles and leading the audience in singing a tune or two.
These concerts are an annual community tradition during which the community enjoys the warmth of the season and the accomplishments of students. As they raise their voices and instruments, they truly lift the spirits of those who attend. Attendance is free at these concerts.
