Kris Kringle’s Market returns Dec. 7

MONSON — The Kris Kringle’s Market Committee is gearing up for its 35th annual Kris Kringle’s Market from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 7 at the Monson Gym. Kris Kringle’s Market offers a variety of crafts (aprons, furniture, fabric items, jewelry, etc.), homemade food and wreaths plus more for sale.

The committee is looking for entries for its Christmas Tree Challenge (trees made from recycled/reusable materials). The trees must be at the gym between 8 and 9 a.m. and will be placed in front of the gym until 3 p.m. for the public to vote on a favorite.

Entries for the Gingerbread House Competition must be at the gym by 10 a.m. This year’s theme is “the Past, the Present and the Future of Monson.” Ribbons will be awarded to the top three creative and well-crafted entries.

The day will offer live music, gingerbread house decorating, a visit from Santa, door prizes, lunch, 50/50 raffle and a small town holiday atmosphere.

The event is the only fundraiser for the Kris Kringle’s Market Committee which uses the proceeds to purchase Christmas gifts for local needy children. For space and further information call Annalee Libby at 997-3268 or 827-4857.
