Beauchesne graduates from U.S. Navy recruit training

    GREAT LAKES, Ill. — Seaman Recruit Mercedes M. (Nickerson) Beauchesne graduated from U.S. Navy Recruit Training Command in Great Lakes, Illinois on Nov. 8.
    Seaman Recruit Beauchesne completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Navy core values, physical fitness and basic warfare principles and skills.

    She will now be attending school in Fort Sam Houston, Texas where she is training to be a hospital corpsman.
    Seaman Recruit Beauchesne is the daughter of Bobbie Nickerson and the late Paul Nichols. She is the wife of Nicholas Beauchesne and is a 2013 graduate of Foxcroft Academy.
