November Grange events

    Friday, Nov. 1 members of the Valley Grange will be available from 4 until 6 p.m. at the Maine Highlands Credit Union lobby on Route 15/16 in Dover-Foxcroft with tickets for their Annual Meat or Heat Raffle and the information regarding the annual Harvest Festival.     Saturday, Nov. 2 and Nov. 9 Dexter Grange hosts a hunters breakfast. They will be serving from 5 until 9 a.m. For more information call 924-7056. Volunteers are needed for this event which takes place at the Grange Hall on Route 7 (Church Street).
    Thursday, Nov. 7 Valley Grange hosts the Piscataquis Pomona Grange potluck supper and meeting. All area Grangers and friends are invited to meet at 6 p.m. for a potluck supper, followed by a meeting and program at 7 p.m. The Valley Grange is located at the corner of Butter Street and Guilford Center Road in Guilford.     Friday, Nov. 8 Garland Grange hosts a hunters supper from 5 until 7 p.m. Menu includes corned beef and ham, plus all the boiled dinner vegetables, bread, and desserts. Takeout is available. Proceeds to benefit the Garland Grange. For more information call 924-6954. Garland Grange Hall is located on the Oliver Hill Road.
    Friday, Nov. 15 Valley Grange meets for a potluck supper at 6 p.m., followed by the annual open house reunion and homecoming at 7 p.m. Members, former members and interested folks are invited for an evening of friendship and fellowship. For more information visit http://valleygrange.com.
    Saturday, Nov. 23 Valley Grange collaborates with Penquis and the Friends of the Country Music Association of Maine to host a harvest festival of food and music to benefit Piscataquis Santa. The festivities begin at 5 p.m. with family friendly pricing … check out the Valley Grange website (http://valleygrange.com) or call 876-4131. This is also the night for the Meat or Heat Raffle winner drawing.
    Saturday, Nov. 23 Garland Grange hosts a family contra dance from 7-9 p.m. at the Garland Grange Hall Caller is John Mcintyre with music by Some Reel People. Refreshments will be available by donation. For more information call 924-3925.
