BOWERBANK, ME & LITTLETON, NH – Harold E. Bigelow, 67, formerly of Brownville and Bowerbank, died Wednesday, October 9, 2013. Harry was born March 5, 1946, in Steyr, Austria, and raised in Holyoke, Mass. He earned a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts with graduate courses at MIT, Worcester Polytech and the Institute of Paper Chemistry.
While living in Maine, he worked at Great Northern Nekoosa, was a Master Mason in Mosiac Lodge in Dover-Foxcroft, a 32nd Degree Mason and a member of Anah Shrine, both in Bangor, ME, and a Volunteer Firefighter in Sebec, ME.
He is survived by his wife, Gracinda Bigelow (Littleton, NH); daughters, Carolyn Nadeau (Milo, ME) and Stephanie Carr (University Place, WA); granddaughters, Michelle LeTarte (Milo, ME), Mallory Bigelow (Rutland, VT), Lydia Balestra (Milo, ME) and Margaux Salazar (University Place, WA); great-granddaughter, Alexandria Anderson (Milo, ME); brother, Richard Bigelow (Charlestown, NH) and ex-wife, Sheila Bigelow (Rutland, VT).
