Bill Andrews

Bill Andrews, 77 of Guilford, Maine died on Thursday, April 11, 2019 at Valley Nursing Home, Augusta, Maine. Bill was born December 6, 1941 at Mayo Memorial Hospital in Dover-Foxcroft, Maine. He was a son of Alice M. Burns Vainio, stepdad Joe Vainio, father Sherwood L. Andrews.
Bill was a cross-country truck driver for 25 years, then worked for the postal service for awhile, driving truck. He lived in Mass. for several years, then moved back to Maine to retire.
Bill is survived by his sisters, Peachy Mayhew and husband Steve of Plattsburgh, New York, Sonya Andrews Funk and husband Craig of Mass.; cousins Joe LaRochelle and wife Sandy of Florida, Holly Hectu and husband Ed of Holyoke, Mass. Holly was like a sister to Bill. He is survived by his children, Kristen Andrews of Springfield, Mass. and Billy Andrews of Dover-Foxcroft. A cousin Scott Hectu and wife Renee of Holyoke, Mass., two grandchildren, Kaylee of Springfield, Mass and Billy Boy of Dover-Foxcroft; two nephews in Washington state, Tony Perry and John Perry, two nieces, Penny Perry, Idaho and Michele Harrison, Papillion, Neb.
Bill loved to be outside, fishing with his son and grandson. He also loved watching deer from his apartment window in Guilford. Bill loved traveling until he became ill. He will be so missed by so many of his friends, a very happy-go-lucky kinda guy.
Bill will be buried with his mother in Dover-Foxcroft. He will be missed, especially by his sisters, Peachy Mayhew and Sonya Andrews Funk. Bill was a great brother. “Bill you are loved now and forever.”
