Maine Marathon results

    PORTLAND — A pair of area residents ran in the 22nd annual Maine Marathon on Oct. 6 in Cumberland County.
    Lori Sharrow, 47 of Dover-Foxcroft, covered the 26.2 miles in a net time of 4 hours, 57 minutes and 29 seconds to finish 711th out of 936 runners. David Stanhope, 50, of Exeter, placed 797th with a time of 5:25.29.

    Five from the region ran in the Maine Half-Marathon on Oct. 6. Heather Gudroe, 35 of Dexter, came in 477th out of 1,974 in the 13.1-mile race, with a time of 1 hour, 51 minutes and 32 seconds. Also taking part was Scott Wintle, 50 of Dexter, 571st at 1:54.10; Amy Webber, 45 of Dexter, 888th at 2:00.51; Erica Peterson, 24 of Dover-Foxcroft, 1,420th at 2:16.39; and Donna Peterson, 54 of Dover-Foxcroft, 1,422nd at 2:16.42.
