McLeish promoted to operations manager at Center Theatre
DOVER-FOXCROFT — The Center Theatre announced recently that Ashlie McLeish, who joined the Theatre in 2016, has been promoted to Theatre operations manager. According to Patrick Myers, the Center Theatre’s executive director, the new position better describes what McLeish’s role in the Theatre has become during the past year.
“Ashlie was hired to manage the Box Office area and to promote the Theatre’s events and activities,” Myers said. “Over the past year however, Ashlie has taken on more responsibility for overseeing the Theatre’s overall operations, including employee scheduling, procurement, and much more to support the Whoopie Pie Festival. It was time to acknowledge her new role at the Theatre”
In her new role, McLeish will be kept busy in 2019 for what promises to be a busy year at the Center Theatre. In March, the Theatre will be closed for three weeks while the auditorium floor is refinished and new carpeting and chairs are installed. Then it’s on to the Whoopie Pie Festival in June which is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year. And all year long the Theatre will be working to raise money to construct a second movie screen to be able to show newer and more varied movies in the community.
