Snow golf for hospice

    DOVER-FOXCROFT — Pine Tree Hospice’s second annual Snow Golf Tournament and Family Fun Day will be held on Saturday, Feb. 9, beginning at 10 a.m. at the Foxcroft Golf Club.

    According to the staff at Pine Tree Hospice, last year’s event proved to be lots of fun for everyone. So if you have never tried playing golf in the snow with tennis balls, tennis racquets, hula hoops and yes, you can even bring your own golf clubs, you’re missing out on a fun and unique experience. There will also be activities going on for the rest of the family if they don’t wish to swing a club. We have many good cooks who will be providing lunch from 11 a.m. to 1 p,m. a bonfire to warm yourself by and there will also be a chili cookoff judging that will take place at 1 p.m.

    The full day’s schedule includes snow golf from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., lunch served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with the chili judging at 1 p.m. and activities from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The activities will include sliding, tug of war, snowball toss, snow coloring, freeze tag and more.
