Pumpkin Jam Battle of the Bands Friday evening at Center Theatre

DOVER-FOXCROFT — On Friday, Oct. 26 at 7 p.m. the Center Theatre will be hosting its second annual Pumpkin Jam Battle of the Bands Fall Fundraiser. The event brings three favorite local bands together to compete for a cash prize and bragging right for the year. This year, Troy Youngblood and Deb Maynard’s Little Big Band will be trying to knock last year’s winners the Doughty Hill Band off their pedestal.

Patrick Myers, the Center Theatre’s executive director, says the event is a fun night out and also a fundraiser for the Center Theatre, “Along with the great music, the Theatre’s board provides complimentary snacks and appetizers for the event. We’ll also have a 50/50 raffle and a silent auction to help raise money for the Theatre’s mission to make arts, culture, entertainment, and education available to our rural communities.”

Myers said they are collecting wonderful items for the silent auction including a bat from Dove Tail Bats, pastries from Spruce Mill Farm, and items by local artists and crafters.
