Pine Tree Hospice’s annual ‘Sound Bites’ coming to Foxcroft Academy

DOVER-FOXCROFT — Pine Tree Hospice’s annual “Sound Bites” event will be held in the Foxcroft Academy gymnasium Sept. 7 at 7 p.m. Tickets for this elegant evening will include a bountiful supply of decadent desserts and outstanding musical entertainment. This year’s featured musicians will be The Josh Guthrie Trio and String Field Theory, and harpist Isleen Halvorsen will perform as guests arrive and during intermission.

As they did last year, Pine Tree Hospice volunteers and Foxcroft Academy student volunteers will magically transform the setting into an elegant café. “Surprised … amazed … enchanted: that is how I would describe people’s reactions upon entering FA’s lobby and gymnasium last September,” said Pine Tree Hospice Executive Director Jane Stitham.
Guests will again be charmed by the café-style seating, aesthetic appeal of lush fall décor and soothing sounds of live music performed by local talent, and their taste buds will be delighted by a seemingly endless selection of desserts, fruits, and cheese. It is a perfect opportunity to escape from the rigors of life for an evening while simultaneously supporting a great cause.
All proceeds for this wonderful event — which is being sponsored by David Frasz and Lesley Fernow, The Arnold Development Group, Foxcroft Academy and Camden National Bank — will benefit Pine Tree Hospice, a volunteer hospice that has been providing invaluable services free of charge to the surrounding community for more than 25 years.
