Light agenda for Greenville selectmen

GREENVILLE — The Greenville Board of Selectmen have a rather light agenda for their Wednesday, Aug. 7 regular meeting.
An update is expected on the proposed transfer of the fixed-base operation (FBO) of the Greenville Municipal Airport from Max Folsom to Dr. Peter Thompson of Hampden, Thompson has been a pilot for over 17 years and Folsom has indicated he’d like to scale back some of his involvement with the airport operation.

The board is also scheduled to discuss the proposed Shaw Public Library addition with Ken Woodbury, the community development director for the Piscataquis County Economic Development Council. Woodbury has been working with the town and library trustees on a plan to connect the main building with the annex.
Other items on the agenda include a proclamation celebrating the Greenville Fire Department’s 100 years of service to the community; various committee appointments; and a possible joint meeting between the Board of Selectmen and the Greenville School Committee.
