Penquis Valley High School Alumni Reunion Aug. 3

MILO — The Penquis Valley Alumni Association will be sponsoring its annual Alumni Reunion on Aug. 3 this year. The event will be held at the Milo Town Hall starting at 6 p.m. with social hour, allowing alumni to mingle and catch up on what everyone has been doing over the last year. The business meeting will follow at 7 p.m., to elect officers and start making plans for next year’s reunion.

The main attraction will be the dance at 8 p.m., this year will feature The Marshall Brothers Band coming all the way from Lake Worth, Fla. The lead singer for the band is Al Marshall who is a 1972 Penquis Valley graduate. When Marshall came up last year to his 40th reunion he was able to sing a few songs with the band from last year. He had such a great time he wanted to bring his whole band up this year to play for us. The Marshall Brothers Band were the winners of the South Florida Fair third annual Classic Rock Tribute Band Competition last year so the alumni association is really excited to have them play this year.
Many alumni travel from as far away as California, Washington, Texas and Florida and this year the hope is to see many of the Maine Alumni as well. To get a preview of The Marshall Brothers Band they will also be playing at The Junction in Brownville Jct. Aug. 2 at 8 p.m.
