The East included recent Foxcroft graduates Donald Boyer, Louis LaFache and Ryan Rebar and Foxcroft head coach Danny White — who was a member of the East coaching staff. Andrew Levensalor of Dexter was on the team as well, and recent Dexter graduate Aaliyah Williams was part of the East cheering team.
The game pits the top eastern Maine seniors from Class A, B and C, who came together after a week of training camp at Hebron Academy against a squad comprised of the best of western Maine in a game to benefit the Shriner Hospitals for Children.

In the 24th Lobster Bowl the East squad won 25-13. Late in the third quarter East quarterback Jordan Whitney, who played at Mt. Blue High School in Farmington, found Rebar for a 39-yard touchdown pass. The play would end up being the winning score, putting the East ahead at 18-13 with one more touchdown to come.
Rebar finished with four catches and 63 yards, part of Whitney’s team MVP performance on 14-of-28 passing for 311 yards with two touchdowns and an interception.

The victory snapped a two-year losing streak for the East. The West holds a 17-7 all-time advantage in the Lobster Bowl standings.
All benefits raised from the Lobster Bowl go toward supporting the 22 Shrine Hospitals for Children across the U.S., Canada and Mexico. The Lobster Bowl  raises money and helps to make the public aware of the expert orthopedic and burn care facilities available, at no cost, to children who desperately need this specialized care.
The Lobster Bowl participants are high school seniors who have just graduated and are about to enter college, the Armed Forces or other endeavors. They are nominated to play in the prestigious game by their coaches and selected by a committee from the Maine Athletics Association.
