Yeo Family Reunion

   BOWERBANK — For about 50 years, the Yeo family has had a camp on the Bowerbank side of the lake. It all began with Della Yeo (formerly Terrill) who lived in the area when she was young, attended the Foxcroft Academy and taught at the one-room schoolhouse in Bowerbank. When her husband William Yeo and she retired in the mid-sixties they purchased their summer home. They were able to spend many summers in Bowerbank before passing the camp to their son, Rensforth (Ren) W. Yeo.

    A FAMILY REUNITED – The Yeo family gathered to commemorate the life of the late Rensforth W. Yeo at a family reunion in Bowerbank.

   Yeo loved the camp and spent many summers and falls there and became a well-loved figure for many in Bowerbank, Sebec and Dover-Foxcroft. On September 26, 2012, he passed away at his home in Whitinsville, MA.
   This past week, several of his children met in Bowerbank to celebrate his life and to place a commemorative stone in the Terrill family cemetery on Bowerbank Road. Attending were Yeo’s daughter Donna Yeo Schwien with her husband David Schwien from Seal Beach, CA; his son William Geoffrey Yeo with his wife Mary from Mission Viejo, CA; his son Jay Yeo from Las Vegas, NV with his daughter Della Mattei and two granddaughters Valerie and Gabriela Mattei from Orlando, FL; his stepson Timothy Curley with his son Michael from Northbridge, MA; his daughter Deborah Yeo from Bellingham, MA; his daughter Barbara Yeo-Emde with her husband Dieterich Emde from Wettenberg, Germany; and his son Korte Yeo from Boxboro, MA.
   The entire Yeo family would like to express its deep gratitude to the town of Bowerbank, which has provided and installed a new fence at the family cemetery. Ren Yeo would feel greatly honored by the town’s generosity and kindness.
