Sen. Davis visits Derby Shop

MILO — Sen. Paul Davis, R-Sangerville met with Piscataquis Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Denise Buzzelli, Chad Misery of Central Maine and Quebec Railway and Jon Seavey of Gordon Construction at the Derby Shop in Milo. The shop is under complete construction for future use by the Central Maine and Quebec Railway.

“Two years ago, the people of Milo voted to acquire the Derby Shop for $1,” said Sen. Davis. “Since then, the town has worked very hard to clean the property up to continue Milo’s legacy of being a railroad town after the bankruptcy proceedings for the former Montreal, Maine and Atlantic Railway. It’s encouraging to see how much progress has been made so far. Once this project is complete, it will be a great thing for the local community.”
