June M. (Hoskins) Nelson
8 at St. Francis Hospital & Medical Center in Hartford. Born in Milo, ME on June 23, 1941, a daughter of the late Ned L. and Cecilia (Poulin) Hoskins, she had been a resident of East Harford for many years. She especially enjoyed her time spent at Middlewoods Assisted Living of Newington where she blossomed during her four year residency prior to entering Riverside Health Care & Rehabilitation Center in East Hartford a year ago. June was a long-time member of the United Methodist Church of Hartford. Most of all, June will be remembered as a very devoted and proud home maker, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend. June was happiest when spending time with her daughter and grandchildren.
June is survived by her beloved daughter, Kristine N. Cosker of Bloomfield and her three cherished grandchildren, Daniel Cosker of Newington, CT, Andrew Cosker of Manchester, CT, and Colleen Cosker of East Hartford, CT. She also leaves a sister, Cecilia Stevens of Bloomfield, CT; a brother, George Hoskins of Sarasota, FL; a sister-in-law, Doris Turner of Manchester, CT; her long-time special friend, Betty McDougall of Millinocket, ME; several nieces, nephews, and friends. Along with her husband and parents, June was prede-ceased by two brothers, Harold Hoskins of Lebanon, MO and Jerry Hoskins of Orlando, FL.
Funeral service was held Saturday (January 13, 2018) at 10:30 am at the D’ESOPO-East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford, CT with Pastor Rhonda R. Taylor offici-ating. Burial followed at Hillside Cemetery, (Veteran’s Field #2), East Hartford, CT. Relatives and friends called at the funeral home chapel on Saturday morning from 9:30 -10:30 am. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in June’s name may be made to the St. Francis Hospital Foundation, 95 Woodland Street, 2nd Floor, Hartford, CT 06105.
