EARLY 20TH CENTURY ACTIVITIES — Pictured is, below, the Foxcroft Academy Orchestra of 1911-12 and the school’s girls basketball team from 1914. Much like the students of a century later, schooling can include students’ participation in activities outside of just the regular instruction taking place in the classroom.
AMERICA’S TOP RUNNERS — Below, the Foxcroft Academy cross country team won the 1942 national championship. A banner honoring the squad’s accomplishment hangs from the gym ceiling today, along with a number of other accolades Pony athletic squads have earned across the school’s 190-year history.
BEST OF THE BEST — All-Maine player Kevin Nelson cuts the cords after the Ponies’ 1975 state championship win over Medomak Valley.
GREETINGS AT THE HOLIDAYS AND FROM ACROSS THE GLOBE — The display of Santa Claus and reindeer decorates the front lawn in 1953, while below over a dozen flags represent the home countries of Foxcroft Academy’s students.

BRINGING HOME THE HARDWARE — The field hockey team won the Class C championship in 2007, and last November the football team earned the Class C Gold Ball.
GIVING BACK TO THE COMMUNITY — A large contingent from Foxcroft Academy took part in Womancare’s 2011 Race/Walk to End Domestic Abuse.
21ST CENTURY LEARNING — iPads are utilized in the classroom today.
FILM FESTIVAL — Foxcroft Academy Films will present the second annual Community Film Festival at the Center Theatre on East Main Street in Dover-Foxcroft on Saturday, Jan. 19 at 7 p.m. Admission will be by donation.
